Donations of Face Masks to BNPB (Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management)
On May 8th, 2020, Yayasan Upaya Indonesia Damai or United in Diversity (UID) supported by the Gajah Tunggal Group donated 2 million face masks to the Chairman of the Indonesian Task Force for Covid-19 containment, Mr. Doni Monardo, at the BNPB office.

The donation was handed over by Mrs. Tuti Hadiputranto, President of UID and Mr. Sugeng Rahardjo, President-Director of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, representing Gajah Tunggal Group.

The 2 million face masks are part of a total of 6 million masks of which most will be donated to other government agencies in Indonesia.

GT supports Indonesia Goes Pink 2018

Gajah Tunggal supports the Indonesia Goes Pink 2018 campaign to raise awareness concerning breast cancer. The event was held in Alam Sutera on 14 October 2018, through a Fun Run & Fun Walk.
GT strongly supports breast cancer awareness campaigns which are held in October. GT together with Lovepink urge people to encourage Cancer warriors and survivors.

GT cares for Lombok earthquake victims
On August 23, 2018, the Directors and Employees of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk provided aid to victims of the earthquake in Lombok in the form of goods.
The aid was given in the form of rice as much as 2 tons, 2,000 blankets, 2,000 sarongs and 2,400 bottles of mineral water.

The relief items were handed over by the President Director of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, Mr. Sugeng Rahardjo, to the Indonesian Army for further distribution.

The Board of Directors and Employees of PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk hopes that this effort, which is made voluntarily and is based on solidarity among Directors, the Labor Union and Employees will be useful and helps to lighten the burden of the refugees.

Community Development
To empower the communities in the vicinity of the factories, the Company conducts activities in the field of education and health, such as foster parents, scholarships and blood drives every three months at the factory. Throughout 2012-2015, a total of 6,287 employees participated in blood drives. These efforts are in line with the Company’s commitment to reduce impacts from its business operations on communities around the plant, in order to create sustainable livelihoods.

Construction of Child-Friendly Open Public Space
The Company supported the endeavor of the Government of DKI Jakarta to provide a Child Friendly Open Public Space by developing RPTRA Kembangan which is located in Kembangan Utara, West Jakarta.

The development of RPTRA Kembangan Gajah Tunggal is part of the Company’s CSR program. The space can be utilized directly by the community, especially the children in the surrounding area.

Besides creating an open space playground which is safe for children, RPTRA Kembangan Gajah Tunggal can also be used for people empowering activities and promoting the Safety Driving and Safety Riding campaigns which have been
conducted by the Company.
